BLS Provider certification, taught at your facility.
The American Heart Association BLS course for nurses, EMS, dental teams and other clinical staff — delivered onsite, on your schedule.
Who it's for
Healthcare and clinical roles that need a provider-level card: nurses and CNAs, physicians and PAs, dental teams, EMS and first responders, pharmacists, physical and occupational therapists, school nurses and athletic trainers, and students entering clinical programs.
What your team practices
- High-quality CPR for adults, children and infants
- AED use
- Ventilation with a pocket mask and a bag-mask device
- Two-rescuer CPR and team resuscitation roles
- Relief of choking in adults, children and infants
How the session runs
It's hands-on from the start. Every student works on manikins with feedback on compression depth and rate, practices as part of a resuscitation team, and completes the AHA skills test and written exam before leaving. We run first-time and renewal sessions.
Why train onsite
A clinical team that renews together stays on the same cycle, so nobody's card lapses quietly between public classes. You also avoid pulling staff off the schedule one at a time to chase open seats elsewhere. Many clinical teams add Bloodborne Pathogens to the same visit.
FAQ
BLS Provider questions.
Is BLS the same as CPR?
BLS is CPR at the healthcare-provider level. It adds two-rescuer and team resuscitation, bag-mask ventilation and a written exam. If a job or program asks for BLS, a Heartsaver CPR card won't satisfy it.
How long is an AHA BLS card valid?
Two years. We keep track of your group's card dates and reach out before renewal so nobody lapses.
Can you train our whole clinical team at once?
Yes. Larger teams can be split into back-to-back sessions on the same day so patient care stays covered.
Often taken together
Bloodborne Pathogens
Annual training OSHA requires for staff with exposure risk. Quick to run alongside a CPR session.
